JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Health Center staff in the Student Life division of Southern Nazarene University, the Health Center Office Manager is responsible for the coordination and operation of the front desk, patient billing, and administrative support for the Health Center staff. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for patients in support of the mission and goals of Southern Nazarene University.
A collaborative working relationship with the University Business office, Campus Security, Athletics, Spiritual Life, Student Life, Admissions, Disability Services, and other University departments, and faculty is a necessity in order to ensure a positive service for our patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to type, file, and keep records confidential.
- Assist the nurse with patient information such as vital signs, changes in medical history, and reason for current visit.
- Assist the RN with patient information (vital signs, changes in medical history, & reason for current visit) and assist in diagnostic testing and upkeep of pharmacy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college coursework- Certified Nursing Assistant at minimum
- Experience in higher education
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
