What are the responsibilities and job description for the Router Operator, 1st Shift - Recline Designs Plant 1 position at SOUTHERN MOTION INC?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- CNC Router Operators set up, program, operate, adjust and tend computerized routers while cutting parts for upholstered furniture frame parts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must learn to read daily schedule and various styles listed.
- Load and Unload proper programs for daily cutting Must be able to read daily schedule and prepared Bills of Material.
- Must check parts for correct dimensions and drill location.
- Identify correct parts for respective styles to be assembled.
- Properly stack and tag parts on buggy in accordance to guidelines for maximum quantities as related to safe handling procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized workstation.
- Assist others when necessary.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

- Always ensure proper lifting techniques: avoid bending and twisting at the waist whenever possible.
- Inspect tools and protective equipment before use.
- Learn the hazards of the equipment and procedures used on the job.
- Report any defective, malfunctioning, or suspicious tool, machine, or protective equipment immediately.
- Participate in safety training and safety meetings.
- Report any hazards or risks related to policies or procedures.
