Cover Receiver - Fusion Furniture Plant 2

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Suppling fabric to Cover Tables according to production schedule. 
• Ensuring other supplies are readily available to operators to complete their operation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must learn to read and understand daily production schedule in order to accurately supply daily requirements.
• From production schedule, learn cover numbers to identify different covers and colors for respective styles.
• Must hand out work to sewing machine operators in accordance to the schedule.
• Must rotate style to different operators to ensure fairness.
• Join cut pieces together using single needle sewing machine.
• Must split up large bundles to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
• Must write up any recuts and return them to operator when completed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Self-monitor production throughout the day to maintain required level of production.
• Communicates with supervisor and lead person as needed on questions or problems that occur while performing job.
• Maintain clean and organized workstation.
• Assist others when necessary

• Immediately report any work-related injury or illness.
• Keep the work area neat and free of hazards. THE USE OF COMPRESSED AIR WITHOUT PROPER SAFETY NOZZLE IS PROHIBITED FOR CLEAN-UP.
• Wear always required personal protective equipment.
• Always ensure proper lifting techniques: avoid bending and twisting at the waist whenever possible.
• Learn the hazards of the equipment and procedures used on the job.
• Report any defective, malfunctioning machine, tool or protective equipment immediately.
• Participate in safety training and safety meetings.
• Report any hazards or risks related to policies or procedures.
