JOB TITLE: Cashier DEPARTMENT: Administration REPORTS TO: FOH Manager DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process POS (point of sale) purchases Receive money for purchases and calculate customers change if any Greet customers courteously and answer their questions. “Go the extra mile” to sell merchandise Cross sell products when possible Verify and reconcile customers’ bills with the merchandise they bought Collect correct account balance payments from customers Maintain, manage, and organize merchandise on the shelves and racks in the store Help customers find the item they desire to purchase on the shelves Maintain and manage records of merchandise inventories in the store Assist with scheduled inventory counts Ensure excellent retail experiences to customers Maintain the outlook of the store. This implies cleaning, arranging, and when necessary stocking the shelves Assist with boat rental reservations and customer check in Knowledge of Marina dockage rates. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Basic Math skills Hands-on experience with POS transactions is preferred but not required Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner Availability to work flexible shifts
