**Job Title:** Seasonal Marina Cashier & Dockhand **Location:** Winchester, TN **Job Type:** Seasonal (Summer) **Schedule:** Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays **Position Overview:** We are seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to join our marina team for the summer season. This dual-role position combines cashier responsibilities with hands-on dockhand duties. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, interacting with customers, and being part of a fast-paced waterfront environment. - **Key Responsibilities:** **Cashier Duties:** * Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service * Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for fuel, rentals, merchandise, and concessions * Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate drawer balances * Answer customer questions about marina services, pricing, and local area * Stock and organize retail items, snacks, and supplies * Maintain cleanliness of store and service areas **Dockhand Duties:** * Assist boaters with docking, launching, and securing vessels * Pump fuel and ensure safe fueling procedures are followed * Monitor docks for safety, cleanliness, and organization * Perform basic maintenance tasks (cleaning, trash removal, etc.) * Help manage boat rentals, including check-in/check-out procedures * Enforce marina rules and safety guidelines - **Qualifications:** * Must be at least 16 years old (or per local labor laws) * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions * Comfortable around water and boats (boating experience a plus, but not required) * Basic math and cash-handling skills * Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods - **Preferred Skills (Not Required):** * Previous cashier or retail experience * Boating knowledge or marina experience - **Benefits:** * Competitive hourly pay * Flexible scheduling * Fun, active summer work environment * Opportunity to gain customer service and boating experience
