WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to record all transactions accurately.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data for month-end and year-end reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports.
- Contribute to the preparation of corporate budgets and variance analyses.
- Research and accurately record cash receipts.
- Prepare financial reports and statements that reflect the assets, liabilities, and equity of the company.
- Manage the company's charitable foundation receipts and ensure accurate allocations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and analyze financial data for decision-making support.
- Monitor and analyze all monthly expenses providing explanations of unusual items.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of internal accounting controls to safeguard company assets.
- Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed.
- Comply with Southern Management Companies' policies and procedures.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Contribute to team/company engagement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Two to three (2-3) years of accounting experience preferred.
- Yardi experience preferred.
