We invite prospective applicants to apply for the position of ART TEACHER (GRADES K-2) at Hopewell Elementary School.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(1) Must possess strong instructional talents and have demonstrated effective classroom management practices.
(2) Must share in the District's mission to promote student success in a supportive positive school climate.
(3) Excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills are required.
(4) Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, staff, parents and the District-wide community are necessary.
(5) Experience teaching in a technology rich, 1:1 school environment is preferred.
(6) The successful candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues and District leadership to deliver highly engaging curricular experiences to students.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Certification: A valid (active) Pennsylvania Instructional I/ II certification in Art K-12 or Art Education PK-12 is required.
Experience: Previous experience with teaching elementary level Art in a public school setting preferred.
Note: Selected candidates must be able to produce valid [1] PA State Criminal Record Check (ACT 34), [2] FBI Criminal History Record Investigation (ACT 114), [3] PA DHS Child Abuse History Clearance (ACT 151). and [4] PA Arrest/Conviction Report Certification Form (ACT 24) all within one year of issue at the time of hire.
COMPENSATION
FLSA EXEMPT: in accordance with the SLSD-SLEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
