Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials and dangerous goods on flatbeds or tanker trailers
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load securement, brake systems, lights, and tires
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate cargo handling, route planning, and timely deliveries across diverse locations
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating flatbed trucks or tractor-trailers
- Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures
- Ability to manually load and unload freight safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes
- Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures for freight.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations for safe operations
- Must be able to drive Manual Transmission.
