What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver position at DAVIES CONSTRUCTION?
We are seeking experienced Class A Drivers proficient in operating flatbed, lowboy, and end dump trailers to haul laminate mats and heavy equipment regionally. Drivers will primarily handle loads over distances of 100-300 miles, perform basic maintenance, and ensure safety compliance while working solo.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed, lowboy, and end dump trailers safely and efficiently
- Haul laminate mats and heavy equipment across regional routes
- Secure loads in compliance with flatbed load regulations
- Inspect vehicles and trailers before, during, and after trips
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of commercial truck driving experience
- Expertise in commercial driving and flatbed load securing
- Proficient in vehicle inspections and safety regulations
- Experience handling heavy equipment
- Strong communication and time management skills
