Southern Iowa Mental Health Center has a full time opening for an Accounting Specialist.
This position’s primary duty is to complete tasks in support of the Finance areas at SIMHC. This position will be responsible for various accounting and billing functions.
Primary Functions include:
Payroll preparation
Benefit enrollments
Processing of Accounts Payable
Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
Journal Entry preparation
Bank Statement reconciliations
Back up work as needed for other Center Support Staff
Other duties as assigned
Requirements for this position include:
High School diploma or GED required
Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred
Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel
Must be able to do detail work
Prefer experience with computer-based accounting/general ledger systems (QuickBooks preferred)
Must have good customer service skills
Able to work in a team setting as well as independently
Salary based on experience and education.
