Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, lubrication services, filter replacements, and other routine maintenance on diesel trucks and trailers.
- Inspect trucks and trailers for wear, damage, leaks, and other service needs.
- Identify and report mechanical issues or needed repairs to management.
- Check fluid levels, tires, brakes, lights, suspension components, and other basic systems.
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Properly use and care for tools, shop equipment, and company property.
- Follow company procedures and all workplace safety requirements.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members.
- Show up on time, ready to work, and maintain dependable attendance.
Qualifications
- Have tools to complete the job. (some tools provided)
- One to two years of mechanical experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of diesel trucks, trailers, and routine maintenance.
- Ability to inspect equipment, locate potential issues, and recognize when repairs are needed.
- Basic ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely lift and handle parts, tools, and equipment required for the position.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
