Southern Illinois Dermatology seeks full time medical assistant or LPN for the following position:
1. Carbondale location – The position is a 4 day per week, 10 hr per day full time position.
A medical assistant or LPN will perform patient intake, document within EHR system (Nextgen Heathcare), assist providers with patient care, remove sutures and perform procedures as allowed under license/training, provide any necessary coordination of care, stock supplies and other duties as assigned.
Successful candidate should be interested in a clinical career and possess compassion, caring and thoughtfulness for patient care.
We will provide on the job training for the right candidate. The following are requirements of this position:
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a physician office is preferred
- Proficiency with computers including Electronic Medical Record systems preferred
- A professional positive attitude is required along with good communication skills
- Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others
