Medical Assistant/LPN - Dermatology Office

Southern Illinois Dermatology is a busy dermatology clinic with offices located throughout southern Illinois. Southern Illinois Dermatology seeks full time medical assistant or LPN for the following position:

1. Murphysboro/DuQuoin locations- Most days in our Murphysboro clinic but DuQuoin clinic approximately one day per month. This position is 3 days per week (M-W) position but could add a 4th float day for interested candidates that would like full time hours.

A medical assistant/LPN will perform patient intake, document within EHR system (Nextgen Heathcare), assist providers with patient care, remove sutures and perform procedures as allowed under license/training, provide any necessary coordination of care, stock supplies and other duties as assigned.

Successful candidate should be interested in a clinical career and possess compassion, caring and thoughtfulness for patient care.

We will provide on the job training for the right candidate. The following are requirements of this position:

• At least 1 year of recent experience in a physician office is preferred
• Proficiency with computers including Electronic Medical Record systems preferred
• A professional positive attitude is required along with good communication skills
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Ability to work well with others
