- Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members.
- Provide live annual training sessions monthly so you have time and opportunity to interact with the staff.
- Track training attendance, competencies, and state and federal requirements for all staff in Relias.
- Conduct hands on skills fairs.
- Perform and track competency evaluations.
- Lead our Mentor Program.
- Evaluate and educate individual needs of the staff at the center.
- Responsible for the administration of the center's Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program. You will identify, investigate, and report infections and communicable diseases and educate staff on the control and prevention of those infections.
- Associate degree or above in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Clear and active Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of NC.
- Two (2 ) years' nursing experience required.
- Long-Term Care or SNF Nursing experience OR Clinical Education and Staff Development experience strongly preferred.
- CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of NursingValid state licensure as an RN or LPNMinimum of two years’ experience as an Infection Preventionist or related healthcare experience with knowledge of patient care practices, microbiology, infectious diseases, and epidemiology.Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification prior to assuming the role.CIC or APIC preferred.
