Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team at the Houston County Jail in Georgia.
This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking stability, teamwork, and meaningful work in a healthcare environment.
In this role, youโll help keep the medical department running smoothly by maintaining accurate records, supporting administrative operations, and assisting the healthcare team with daily organizational tasks. Your work behind the scenes plays a vital role in ensuring quality patient care and efficient facility operations.

๐ฅ๏ธ What Youโll Do
- Maintain and organize inmate medical records
- Enter and update healthcare documentation accurately
- Assist with scheduling, filing, scanning, and data entry
- Answer phones and communicate professionally with staff and vendors
- Support nursing and medical staff with administrative tasks
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
- Assist with inventory, reports, and general office operations
โ Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous clerical, administrative, medical records, or office experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Medical office or correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
