Tuscaloosa County Jail – Alabama

Licensed Counselor or Social Worker
⏰ Schedule
Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
🌞 Evenings free
📅 Weekends free
💡 What You’ll Do
Play a key role in recovery and stabilization:
• Conduct mental health and substance use assessments
• Provide counseling with a focus on addiction and recovery
• Develop and support individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical and correctional staff
• Document care, progress, and outcomes clearly and accurately
🔎 What We’re Looking For
• Licensed Counselor or Licensed Social Worker (state of Alabama)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
• Experience in addiction counseling, substance use treatment, or recovery support required
• Correctional or community mental health experience is a plus
