Certified Welding Inspector

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure all welding activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements as well as performing incoming inspections on any outsourced parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of welded components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
• Inspect and document incoming product from external vendors
• Verify compliance with AWS, ASME, and company-specific welding codes and standards.
• Review and approve welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Monitor welding processes and provide technical guidance to production teams.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve welding-related issues.

Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification REQUIRED..
• Minimum of 3–5 years of welding inspection experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of welding processes including MIG and TIG
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated welding systems and CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as VT, MT, PT, and UT.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
