Position Objective
Southern Electrical Contractors is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead and strengthen the company’s preconstruction efforts while serving as a strategic partner to both clients and internal operations teams.
This is effectively a newly created leadership role that combines estimating, business development, client relationship management, and preconstruction strategy. The individual will play a key role in helping SEC pursue the right opportunities, develop competitive and creative bid strategies, and ensure successful project transitions into operations.
Desired Background
- 5 years of estimating and/or project management experience within the electrical contracting industry
- Experience with industrial and/or heavy commercial electrical projects
- Design-build experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, pricing, labor, and project execution
- Ability to evaluate project risk, fit, and profitability
- No specific degree requirement; experience and industry knowledge are valued most
