Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the company’s incoming payments, ensure accurate recording of receivables, and maintain strong relationships with clients. Your expertise in accounting systems, financial software, and collections account management will drive efficient cash flow and support our overall financial health.
Duties
- Process and record incoming payments using QuickBooks
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Manage collections accounts by following up on overdue invoices and negotiating payment arrangements
- Prepare detailed journal entries for billing, adjustments, and other financial transactions
- Generate and analyze spreadsheets for Excel data analysis, account analysis, and reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding balances via phone or email, maintaining professional etiquette at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, data analysis tools, and spreadsheet management
- Experience with account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for client communication
- Familiarity with credit analysis, collection strategies, and accounts receivable management processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
