Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, service delivery, and staff management
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth shift transitions and optimal performance
- Implement and maintain food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock ordering, storage, and waste reduction to optimize food costs
- Utilize POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Train new staff members on food service techniques, customer service excellence, and safety protocols to foster a skilled team
- Support budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses, controlling labor costs, and maximizing operational efficiency
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience that encourages repeat visits
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food industry operations
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS for efficient transaction processing
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures
- Strong skills in staff training & development along with interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
