Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues accurately.
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and related mechanical equipment in commercial or residential settings.
- Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency; adjust or replace components as needed.
- Utilize HVAC design principles to modify or upgrade existing systems for improved performance and energy efficiency.
- Repair plumbing connections associated with HVAC systems and handle appliance repairs related to property maintenance projects.
- Operate welding equipment and perform mechanical repairs on complex machinery; conduct routine preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute precise installations or repairs; document all service activities thoroughly.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Proven service technician experience with field service operations across commercial or residential properties.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively in real-world scenarios.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components.
- Experience with property maintenance tasks including air conditioning system servicing and general equipment repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean
