Job Summary:
The Clinical Equipment & Surgical Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all clinical equipment across all locations.
This role serves as the execution partner to the In-Office Procedures & Surgical Technology Manager, ensuring that equipment is properly tracked, maintained, and fully functional at all times, while also supporting in-office procedures and new clinic launches.
This is a multi-location, field-based role requiring strong organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Equipment Inventory & Warranty Management
- Maintain a centralized, up-to-date inventory of all clinical equipment across all locations, including:
- Equipment type and location
- Purchase date
- Warranty expiration
- Last maintenance date
- Track all equipment sent for repair:
- Date sent
- Tracking number
- Vendor
- Estimated return date
- Proactively monitor:
- Upcoming warranty expirations
- Equipment performance trends
- Replacement timelines
2. Preventative Maintenance Program
- Coordinate and execute annual and bi-annual maintenance schedules across all locations
- Schedule and attend maintenance visits with vendors and reps
- Ensure all equipment is serviced consistently and documented
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs for every piece of equipment
3. Clinical Equipment Oversight
Support oversight and functionality of all clinical equipment, including but not limited to:
- Microscopes, scopes, otoscopes
- Audiology, VNG, and CT equipment
- Towers
- Autoclaves
- Exam chairs and physician swivel chairs
Responsibilities include:
- Routine inspections and performance checks
- Identifying and escalating issues early
- Coordinating repairs and replacements
- Ensuring all clinical rooms are fully functional and properly equipped
4. Procedure Support
- Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for in-office procedures
- Ensure all required equipment is available, functional, and properly configured
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in real-time as needed
- Help standardize procedure room setup across all locations
5. New Location Support
- Partner with manager during new clinic openings
- Ensure all clinical equipment is:
- Delivered, installed, and operational
- Properly set up in each room
- Fully functional prior to patient care
- Identify and help resolve any missing or incomplete equipment items
6. Standardization Across Locations
- Ensure consistency in equipment setup and functionality across all clinics
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies between locations
- Support implementation of standardized equipment protocols
7. Documentation & Accountability
- Maintain all records in a centralized, accessible system
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of:
- Equipment inventory
- Maintenance logs
- Repair tracking
- All activity must be documented
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are reflective of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Surgical Technician background OR equivalent hands-on clinical equipment experience
- Strong organizational and tracking skills
- Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:
- Stand for long periods at a time.
- Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs. periodically.
- Regular travel across all clinic locations
- On-site presence required for:
- Maintenance visits
- Equipment audits
- New clinic openings
- High-priority issues

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
