The year was 1979 when the Southern Auto Group opened its first location in the Hampton Roads area. There are 15 new car brands that include: Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Trucks, FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, GMC, Kia, Volkswagen, Nissan, Hyundai, and Acura. Plus, state-of-the-art Collision Centers, a Pre-owned Car and Truck Liquidation Outlet, and over 700 employees on its payroll.
