Qualifications:
- Minimum education of a master's degree in nursing
- Recent clinical nursing experience - within the past one to two years, with diverse patient populations and settings
- Teaching experience - nursing higher education, including classroom and clinical
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in the English language
- Flexibility and willingness to meet reasonable School of Nursing needs and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Service and mission orientation
- Commitment to SDA nursing education
- Member in good and regular standing in the SDA church
- Prepare and deliver classroom instruction
- Use technology and innovative methods to deliver quality course content and engage students effectively
- Create and administer classroom and clinical assignments, assessments, and evaluations
- Engage in student advisement
- Hold regular office hours
- Participate in assigned committees
- Support students in their learning processes
- Assist in the skills, simulation, or clinical areas as assigned
- Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes
- Maintain credentials, licenses, certifications, and a current understanding of nursing standards
- Engage in professional development
- Function as a supportive team player with nursing faculty and staff colleagues
- Promote a positive spiritual and emotional environment in all interactions
- Perform duties as assigned by School of Nursing dean
