Position Summary
We're hiring a hands-on, sales-minded General Manager to lead day-to-day hotel operations, grow top-line performance, and maintain strong cost controls. This role is ideal for a leader who can build local accounts, drive revenue strategies, coach a team, and run a clean, accountable operation with strong guest results.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Leadership
- Own the property's sales efforts: local corporate accounts, small groups, negotiated rates, and community partnerships.
- Drive weekly sales activity (calls/visits), pipeline tracking, and account production.
- Partner with revenue management processes (forecasting, pricing strategy, and demand periods).
Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead all departments with clear standards, coaching, and accountability.
- Maintain strong front desk execution, housekeeping quality, and preventative maintenance follow-through.
- Implement service recovery and guest experience habits that protect Stay Score/SALT performance.
Financial & Expense Control
- Manage labor efficiency, purchasing controls, inventories, and vendor performance.
- Deliver monthly P&L results and action plans; control cost of sales and controllable expenses.
- Enforce approvals, invoice discipline, and budget alignment.
Hilton Standards & Compliance
- Operate in line with Hilton systems, training requirements, and QA readiness expectations.
- Maintain audit readiness, training completion, and required logs/documentation.
Qualifications
- 3 years hotel leadership experience as GM (or strong AGM ready for promotion), preferably select-service.
- Proven sales background: local account acquisition, relationship selling, and measurable production results.
- Strong financial acumen: labor management, expense control, and P&L ownership.
- Comfortable leading a team, holding standards, and building culture.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed (including some weekends/holidays).
Preferred
- Hilton brand experience and familiarity with Hilton systems/training expectations.
- Experience improving guest scores while controlling expenses.
