Job Description:
Southeastern Timber Products is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with industrial electrical systems and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical devices and components
- Repair and replace electrical equipment, including VFDs, motor starters, and field devices/photo eyes
- Troubleshoot machine breakdowns using Allen Bradley PLC
- Assist millwrights as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexible schedule required (4 on 4 off swing shift)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Technology
- Work history in a sawmill or wood product manufacturing environment
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with computerized maintenance software systems
- PLC Studio 5000 training courses
- Knowledgeable use of multimeter and megameter instruments
