Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily pipe and underground operations
- Lead crews performing:
- Storm drainage systems
- Sanitary sewer installation
- Water main installation
- Manholes, inlets, and utility structures
- Read and interpret utility plans, profiles, and specifications
- Ensure installations meet required line, grade, slope, and elevation
- Coordinate with equipment operators, laborers, surveyors, inspectors, and superintendents
- Plan daily work activities, crew assignments, and equipment needs
- Ensure proper installation of bedding, pipe, backfill, and compaction
- Enforce jobsite safety policies, OSHA standards, and trench safety requirements
- Conduct daily job briefings and safety meetings
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timecards, and material tracking
- Communicate with project management regarding progress, issues, and field changes
