Southeastern Site Development is seeking an experienced, dependable Erosion Control Supervisor or Foreman to lead crews and oversee erosion-control operations. This will include managing and farming all hay fields.
Responsibilities Include
- Supervising and coordinating daily crew activities
- Installing and maintaining silt fencing, inlet protection, check dams, matting, and other BMPs
- Reading site plans and identifying required erosion-control measures
- Inspecting job sites and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and coordinating materials and equipment
- Communicating effectively with project managers, inspectors, and field personnel
- Permanent / Temporary Grassing
- Fertilizing and Seeding hay fields
- Baling mulch hay, large round and square bales for use as mulch / livestock feed
- Operating round hay bale blowers and small square bales
- Installing 5 strand barbed wire or GDOT fencing as required on plans
- Previous erosion-control, grading, or site-development experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of erosion-control BMPs and job-site safety
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Georgia Blue Card certification preferred
