What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Contracting Technician position at SouthEastern Facility Maintenance LLC?
SouthEastern Facility (Sefm) is a family owned general maintenance company that utilizes state of the art technologies to deliver quality services to our customers. We are looking for a dynamic technician to add to our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be a talented & dependable person with the ability and the skill sets to perform various General Maintenance & Construction jobs, with the opportunity to learn the HVAC trade.
Must be able to work independently with strong time management, reporting skills and be efficient with company software platforms
Job responsibilities & requirements:
- Servicing work orders at various client locations within Miami and surrounding Florida
- Performing a variety of Facility Maintenance repair & Construction jobs including but not limited to carpentry, basic plumbing repairs and installation, basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, painting and finishing, concrete and masonry repair, interior and exterior maintenance, flooring, and advanced knowledge of construction standards.
- Responding to emergency service requests.
- Plan, layout and complete scopes of work according to job specifications and code requirements.
- Communication with the management team and its customers.
- Properly photographing existing job site conditions and work completion.
- Documenting daily work activity and responding to management team inquires
- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work some nights and weekends as needed.
- May also be required to travel and stay near job sites overnight on the rare occasion
- Excellent attendance, dependability and reliability are essential.
- Required to have strong Troubleshooting & documenting skill sets.
- Expected to be able to work independently and with others depending on scope of work.
- Must be able to complete scope of work according to industry quality standards and within expected time frames.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the company's clients, its management team and other field employees.
- Must be able to perform general physical activities common to construction (i.e. climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials)
- Must be able to operate the company service trucks and other equipment safely.
- Must have intermediate computer/phone skills to input correct information into a CRM.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay & Overtime
- 7 paid holidays per year

Requirements:
- GC license or certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and can pass insurance check
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
- Ability to work outside with varying weather conditions
- Seasoned Candidate, 3 years' experience
