Job Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs across multiple job sites. this role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company polices while promoting a culture of safety among all employees and subcontractors.
Duties
- Conduct regular job site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures.
- Lead safety training programs, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety laws.
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to promote safe work practices.
- maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
- Monitor use of PPE and enforce safety protocols on all job sites.
- Support continuous improvement of safety systems and culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience on construction safety, perferably on masonry or general contracting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
- OSHA 30 Certification (required); additional certifications are a plus.
- Experience conducting safety trainings and incident investigations.
- excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with safety management software (experience with SafetyPlus is a plus)
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
