Summary
Our medical office is seeking a full-time receptionist who will be responsible for greeting and scheduling patients, bookkeeping, scheduling appointments, answering and routing calls, making transactions, and preparing patient charts. This position is best suited for a candidate who can maintain polite professionalism while multitasking.
Responsibilities
· Greet and check in patients for their appointments
· Verify and update patient information including insurance and phone numbers
· Schedule returning appointments for all patients based on clinic scheduling policies
· Process payments for patient copays and uninsured visits
· Answer multi-line phones and resolve the caller's questions or transfer the caller to the appropriate department for resolution
· Provide and collect appropriate forms for patient appointments
· Input paperwork into patient EMR charts
· Responding to medical records requests
Skills
· High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
· 2 years’ experience in receptionist positions
· Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
· Excellent communication and problem solving skills
· Familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office, multi-line phones
· Minimum Typing Speed: 50WPM
· CPR/AED certification a plus
