In this position, you will assist with treatment procedures, supervise and monitor clients, support daily residential operations, and help orient both clients and staff to program expectations. You’ll also contribute to training, scheduling support, documentation, and crisis intervention while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

- Supervise and support clients within the residential setting, modeling appropriate behavior and maintaining a safe, therapeutic community
- Engage with clients to provide orientation to program expectations, rights, and rules
- Collaborate closely with the clinical team to communicate observations related to client progress, behavior, and safety
- Assist with crisis intervention and apply verbal de‑escalation techniques to help stabilize challenging situations
- Document client activities, behaviors, and group participation accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards
- Support medication processes by adhering to established policies and collaborating with trained Behavioral Health Technicians
- Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting Behavioral Health Technicians, including participation in interviews and onboarding
- Facilitate staff meetings and contribute to scheduling support and shift coverage as needed
- Prepare and assist with group curricula, educational materials, and recreation or education groups
- Perform Behavioral Health Technician duties as needed to support program operations
- Collect and report information related to unusual incidents in accordance with policy and standards
- Complete required trainings within designated timeframes and support compliance with State Regulatory and CARF standards
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field
OR
- High school diploma or GED with at least two (2) years of responsible employment history
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use disorder and mental health treatment, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II
- Ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
- Successful completion of required background, driving, and abuse/neglect checks
- Ability to perform sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
- Frequent repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and writing
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional walking or standing
