Outpatient Therapist

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to understand their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Therapy and Counseling: Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the client's needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring clients are making positive strides toward recovery.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to provide comprehensive care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough records of client assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment progress.
• Crisis Management: Respond effectively to mental health crises and ensure client safety.
• Case Management: Coordinate and manage client care, including referrals to other services and resources.
• Screening and Evaluation: Conduct intake screening, evaluation, and triage.
  
  

Requirements

• Master’s degree & LSW/LPC required.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions
• Well-developed listening and interview skills to explore patient needs and administer treatment plans
• Strong oral communication skills to counsel and advise patients
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans
• Coaching skills to help patients make positive changes
• Organization skills to maintain up-to-date patient files
• Computer skills to operate record keeping, scheduling, and email
