The Crisis Intervention Specialist provides clinical, and support services related to crisis intervention counseling, mental health evaluations, linkage to agency and community resources, and hospital pre-screening. This role is responsible for communicating with and de-escalating clients in crisis while ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize client needs and available resources.
- Provide timely and appropriate clinical interventions.
- Conduct hospital pre-screening assessment services.
- Act as a liaison with other agencies and maintain knowledge of community resources to meet client needs.
- Assist in addressing consultation and education needs within the service area.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure accessibility of crisis intervention mental health services.
- Prepare and maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree required.
- Mental health licensure is strongly preferred (LPC/LSW).
- Experience in crisis intervention or behavioral health preferred.
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced or high-stress environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the community.
