Southeast Georgia Health System is a not‑for‑profit, community‑based health care system that has served residents and visitors of the Golden Isles and surrounding Southeast Georgia region since 1888. SGHS provides a comprehensive range of services across multiple locations and proudly serves patients from seven counties: Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, McIntosh, Ware, and Wayne.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for ensuring the financial viability of the Health System through leadership of assigned departments and oversight of contemporary health care financial operations and accounting practices. The CFO will play a critical role in supporting SGHS’s mission while promoting a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of successfully leading financial operations within a forward‑thinking, independent, community‑based health system. Deep expertise in financial improvement planning, revenue cycle management, managed care, and investment strategy is essential. Experience working with consulting partners and vendors, supporting graduate medical education programs, and presenting to and influencing a Board of Directors is also critical to success in this role.
