Chief Financial Officer

Ascentria Search Partners
Jacksonville, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 4/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/6/2026

We are partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed security services platform generating approximately $200M in revenue, with operations spanning electronic surveillance, alarm monitoring, and manned guarding services across the United States. The company operates a bi-coastal footprint, with a strong presence in Florida and California, and serves a diverse customer base across 46 states.

Following a recent acquisition and accelerated organic growth, the business is anticipated to double its revenue in the next year, positioning the company for substantial scale. As a result, the organization must evolve from a collection of strong but disparate businesses into a fully integrated, scalable platform.

The organization is at a critical stage where financial infrastructure, reporting, and team capabilities must evolve to support scale.

Position Overview

The CFO will serve as a strategic and hands-on financial leader, responsible for strengthening the company’s financial foundation and enabling continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in executive level finance leadership roles, particularly within private equity environments, and experience post-acquisition integration and other transformative initiatives to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and investors to drive financial strategy, growth, and value creation
  • Lead the integration of recently acquired businesses, including financial reporting, processes, and controls
  • Ensure risk management is embedded as a core component of business operations, identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across the organization
  • Build and enhance FP&A capabilities, shifting toward insight-driven analytics and decision support
  • Improve visibility into performance, including pricing, margins, and cost structure
  • Assess and upgrade the finance organization, including team structure, capabilities, and efficiency
  • Lead the identification, selection, and implementation of a new ERP system, driving alignment with business needs and ensuring successful rollout and adoption
  • Standardize financial processes and reporting across a multi-entity, multi-state platform
  • Optimize working capital, cash flow, and collections processes
  • Support ongoing strategic initiatives and future acquisition activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA preferred
  • 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 3–5 years as a CFO within a high-growth, private equity-backed environment
  • Proven experience scaling businesses in the $200M–$500M range
  • Strong track record of integrating acquisitions and building scalable financial infrastructure post-transaction
  • Experience leading the selection and implementation of ERP systems to support business growth and efficiency
  • Demonstrated success driving business transformation initiatives, including shifting from lower-margin products or services to higher-margin offerings
  • Deep experience in service-oriented, distribution, or labor-intensive industries with workforce-driven operations
  • Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to improve margins and drive operational efficiency
  • Experience assessing, building, and upgrading teams and processes to support organizational growth
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a hands-on leadership approach
  • Collaborative, pragmatic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
