Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Gas Controller at its Andalusia Office.
Responsibilities For The Job Include
Monitoring and controlling natural gas flow and pressures throughout the entire Southeast Gas system
Maintaining system pressures below MAOP limits
Monitoring and responding to SCADA alarms and after-hours calls
Performing demand calculations and dispatching service personnel
Administering curtailments, maintaining purchase and billing records
Preparing regulatory reports and ensuring compliance with the Emergency Procedure Plan
Documenting system operations and participating in shift change briefings
Requirements For The Job Include
1-4 years of technical experience in the natural gas industry or a related field (preferred)
High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred
Strong computer and Excel spreadsheet skills; proficiency with office equipment
Ability to calculate and monitor gas flow
Valid Alabama Drivers License
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to sit for extended periods, respond quickly to emergencies, and adapt to changing conditions
