Description
The Logistics Specialist executes day-to-day freight operations across brokerage and cross-dock networks. This role is responsible for accurate load entry, shipment tracking, carrier communication, and billing support to ensure efficient and compliant freight movement.

Transportation Execution & Customer Service
- Support loads from creation through delivery and invoicing (BOL, POD, documentation)
- Perform high-volume data entry in TMS/AS400 systems
- Track shipments and provide status updates
- Source, vet and manage carrier capacity in alignment with brokerage standards
Carrier Management
- Communicate with carriers and customers to resolve issues
- Execute carrier onboarding and compliance verification
- Validate accessorial charges and end of load obligations
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and reconciliation
Education
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in applicable field
Experience
- 1-3 years of transportation, logistics, or brokerage experience (3 preferred) with strong knowledge of load lifecycle management and brokerage workflows.
Working Conditions
- Ability to sit and type at a computer station for prolonged period of time.
- Cross-dock environment with exposure to warehouse and yard operations.
- Ability to operate/use multiline style telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday through Friday
Must be able to execute all the above functions and meet all the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.
