Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients in inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer's, Home Health, and outpatient settings. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides occupational therapy treatments to patients according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
• Observe, records, and report to the Occupational Therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
• Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist with admissions screenings.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals, as appropriate.
• Assist with the care of the Occupational Therapy Department equipment.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities in order to maintain clinical currency.
• Act in compliance with regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
• Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
• Requires regular attendance and punctuality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position directly supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Colorado
• Current CPR certification
• Must have an available working automobile, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
