What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Southeast Christian Church?
The Maintenance Technician ensures the facilities and equipment are well maintained in a way that is honoring to our Lord and to those whom we serve. This role will partner with the ministries to help achieve the mission of connecting people to Jesus and one another.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Receives daily work orders from supervisor and carries them out to their completion.
- Performs repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on commercial or residential building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical equipment.
- Maintains boilers, motors, fans, and related mechanical equipment.
- Operates computerized HVAC control systems; monitors and adjusts controls.
- Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of building systems (replaces belts, bearings and seals, changes filters); lubricates parts; cleans coils; cuts and replaces pipe.
- Paints interior and exterior building surfaces; paints fixtures and furniture

- Excellent understanding of building and equipment maintenance.
- Self-starter; can work unsupervised and act independently to take approved corrective action.
- Follows directions well.
- Skilled in use of tools and power equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Positive work attitude and contributes to the team dynamic in a way that honors God
Our Requirements:
- High School degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in building maintenance (Certification preferred)
- Must have strong knowledge of electrical distribution, fire suppression, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
