What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Leader - Shelby County Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
The Community Engagement leader acts as the main steward and ambassador of living an Unleashed lifestyle (mobilizing people to serve), for God’s glory at the Shelby County Campus. This person champions a missional mindset on campus by creating pathways for members to engage, stewarding partnerships, and helping individuals discern and walk in their God-given calling.
What You Will Be Doing:
- 70% Local focus– Within 15 miles of the campus (neighbors, schools, nonprofits, city needs).
- Engaging with community and missions’ partners.
- Creating serve opportunities.
- Leading Unleashed workshops.
- Full Force serve initiatives.
- Benevolence (10% or less)
- 15% Domestic (United States) – Church plants, disaster relief, trips, domestic trips, and partnerships.
- 15% International – Global missions’ trips, missionaries, and global church partnerships.
- Recruit – Promote serving opportunities and call people into an Unleashed life.
- Develop – Equip people for maturity in their faith and in service.
- Mobilize – Send people into local, domestic, and international service.
- Engage Partners – Care for and collaborate with ministry and community partners.
- Steward – Faithfully manage opportunities, people, partnerships, and resources entrusted to the campus.

Our Requirements:
- A passion for mobilization, missions and a desire to engage our community and our church.
- Experience identifying, recruiting and developing lay leaders.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.

- Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving.
