POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Association Facilities Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all property and facility operations across the Association. This role ensures that all YMCA facilities are safe, functional, clean, and welcoming while aligning with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term capital planning goals. The Association Facilities Director leads property directors and maintenance teams, establishes Association-wide standards, manages capital improvement initiatives, and drives efficiency in maintenance operations, vendor management, and risk mitigation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· - Repair and maintenance of all equipment.

· – Repair, maintenance and preventative procedures for all swimming pool systems including pumps, filters, motors, plumbing and chemical balancing.

· - Preventative and functional checks ensuring safe, operational systems in compliance with state and local codes.

· – Maintenance, including grass, shrubs and snow removal in winter

· – Maintenance, repair and replacement of all plumbing.

· – Preventative maintenance, repair, or replacement of all lighting as needed. Miscellaneous electrical repairs as needed.

· – Remodeling and specific jobs as requested by the CEO.

· – Responsible for maintenance of all doors, hardware and locks related to security.

· – Supervision of full-time and part-time maintenance and cleaning staff, as approved by the CEO/ Executive Director. Also, supervision of state and county workers as appropriate.

· – Plan, develop and manage maintenance budget.

· – Responsibilities as designated by the CEO, including miscellaneous additional maintenance, coordinating bids from contractors, roof repair, on call responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Three or more years’ experience in managing facilities operations and maintenance staff with evidence of progressive supervisory experience and skills development.

· Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other maintenance-related areas.

· Knowledge of project management, bidding, project proposals, and preventative maintenance programs.

· Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.

· Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the facilities.

· Obtain a Certified Pool Operator license within the first 180 days of hire.

· CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.

· Praesidium training upon hire.

· Valid driver’s license with a record that meets YMCA standards.

· Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

· This individual needs to be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. If the individual must lift and carry more than 50 pounds, they must ask for assistance from another staff member.

· This individual may be required to stand for extended periods while demonstrating physical stamina and agility.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
