Summary
Join our energetic, family-centered pediatric clinic as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Dallas, Texas! At Excel Pediatric Therapy, we provide high-quality, play-based care to children with a variety of physical challenges — all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Our physical therapy team uses a supervisor model, so you’ll have a dedicated, experienced physical therapist providing ongoing guidance, mentorship, and clinical support. It’s the perfect opportunity for a PTA who wants to grow their skills, gain confidence, and make a lasting impact in pediatric care.
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit PT team that values collaboration, learning, and celebrating each child’s milestones. From helping toddlers take their first independent steps to working on strength, balance, and mobility through fun, movement-based sessions, you’ll play a key role in helping kids thrive — while developing professionally alongside a team that has your back.
Schedule
Full-time
Monday – Thursday
8:30 AM to 6:15 PM (45-minute lunch)
Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one therapeutic treatment sessions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist patients with positioning, transfers, and mobility activities using gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids
Support the PT in implementing individualized treatment plans that improve strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills
Document patient progress, activities, and observations accurately in the EMR system
Maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy spaces and equipment
Participate in team meetings to collaborate on patient care and goal setting
Stay current on best practices in pediatric physical therapy through continuing education
Communicate clearly with children, families, and fellow staff to support treatment outcomes
Required Skills
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Texas PTA licensure
Experience working with the pediatric population or a strong desire to specialize in pediatrics
Basic understanding of common childhood physical conditions and treatment strategies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Physical ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist children during therapy sessions
