Lead Veterinary Technician – Urgent Care

We are a privately owned veterinary urgent care seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Lead Veterinary Technician plays a key role in supporting doctors, mentoring staff, and helping maintain efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, and brings a positive, solution-focused attitude to every shift.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Current schedule includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Schedule flexibility required as our urgent care continues to grow
- Opportunity for expanded hours and additional shifts as the practice evolves
Compensation
- Pay range based on experience
- Performance-based raises offered in recognition of skill, leadership, and contribution to the practice
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the technician and assistant team
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, and positive workplace culture
- Assist veterinarians with urgent and emergency cases
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and efficiency
- Help train, mentor, and support staff development
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Qualifications
- Veterinary technician experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced urgent care setting
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
