Lead Veterinary Technician – Urgent Care

Full-Time | Privately Owned Veterinary Practice

We are a privately owned veterinary urgent care seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Lead Veterinary Technician plays a key role in supporting doctors, mentoring staff, and helping maintain efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, and brings a positive, solution-focused attitude to every shift.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Current schedule includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Schedule flexibility required as our urgent care continues to grow
  • Opportunity for expanded hours and additional shifts as the practice evolves

Compensation

  • Pay range based on experience
  • Performance-based raises offered in recognition of skill, leadership, and contribution to the practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the technician and assistant team
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, and positive workplace culture
  • Assist veterinarians with urgent and emergency cases
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and efficiency
  • Help train, mentor, and support staff development
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician experience required
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced urgent care setting
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
