POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Controller supports the Hospital’s Controller and CFO by overseeing accounting procedures, meeting deadlines, and assisting with financial processes such as month-end closing, journal entries, financial reporting, net revenue calculations, AHA surveys, balance sheet reviews, tax package and annual budget preparation. The role includes conducting financial analysis, advising on operations, participating in SOX audits, reviewing internal controls over accounting transactions, assisting with CHIRP reporting and proforma modeling. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Three to Five years of experience in General Hospital Accounting or other business accounting experience
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must always demonstrate service excellence.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis in Excel
- Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA is desirable, but not mandatory
