Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and treatment planning when necessary.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix or Epic software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support pediatric dentistry by providing a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
- Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Assist in endodontics procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Proficient in dental terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
- Experience with Dentrix or Epic software is advantageous.
