Daycare Aide at Rockport Elementary - 2 Positions
QUALIFICATIONS: Must a high school diploma
DUTY DAYS: 181
REPORTS TO: Daycare Lead Teacher and principal of building.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide child care to children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in a classroom setting. Work under supervision of Daycare Lead Teacher. Follow established activity plans.
Duties & Responsibilities
HOURS / DAY: 6 hours/day, Assistant #1 - 7:30AM - 2:00PM, Assistant #2 - 11:30 AM - 6:00PM, both with a 30 minute lunch

Duties & Responsibilities
- Participates in classroom activity planning.
- Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
- Alerts the teacher to special needs of individual children.
- Helps maintain individual records for each child.
- Assists teacher in maintaining neat learning and play environment.
- Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision.
- Assists with arrival and dismissal of student and confers with parents as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
