Flex Unarmed Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Flex Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, personnel, and assets. This role involves monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, managing access control, and responding promptly to incidents. Duties

• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including building interiors and exterior grounds, to ensure safety and security
• Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Respond swiftly to alarms or emergency situations following established protocols
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
• Assist in performing background checks on new personnel or visitors as required
• Support emergency response procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement or military service
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting when needed for equipment or incident management
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser are highly desirable
• Strong understanding of physical security measures and loss prevention techniques
• Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills to handle tense situations professionally
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in high-pressure situations
