Responsibilities
- Training Development: Create and update training programs based on current clinical practices, EMR workflows, organizational needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Training Delivery: Conduct new hire and ongoing training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching for staff. Assist in implementation of clinical workflows and training for specialty care programs. Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including online modules, hands-on training, and classroom instruction, to accommodate different learning styles.
- Care Coordination Training: Train staff on effective care coordination practices, including patient management, interdisciplinary communication, and care plan development. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about care coordination tools and techniques to enhance patient outcomes and streamline workflows.
- EPIC Training: Provide specialized training on the EPIC Compass Rose system, including navigation, documentation, and system features. Stay current with EPIC updates and changes, ensuring training materials and sessions reflect the latest system enhancements.
- Curriculum Design: Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules. Create specialized training content tailored to specific programmatic needs and requirements.
- Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, competency evaluations, and performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work with leadership to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of training activities, including attendance, completion rates, and feedback. Prepare and present reports on training outcomes and areas for improvement to clinical leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure all training programs meet regulatory standards and organizational policies. Conduct periodic reviews of training programs to ensure they meet quality standards and address emerging needs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Certification in Nursing Education Training is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in Care Coordination, Managed Care Operations, and/or outpatient care.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training or education programs is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of EPIC Clinical EMR experience (particularly Compass Rose).
- EPIC Credentialed Trainer certification is preferred. If not already certified, credentialing must be obtained within 3 months of hire date; required training will be provided.

- Proficiency in using training software and tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively utilize and navigate an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform, preferably Epic.
