South Shores Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves building relationships with clients and is ready to grow their hands-on skills in patient care. If you have a foundation in animal handling and restraint and are eager to expand your Veterinary Assistant experience, wed love to support your development.
In this role, youll split your time between the front desk and assisting our medical team, gaining exposure to a variety of clinical skills while helping create a smooth, compassionate experience for our clients, patients, and team.
In this role, you will:
- Greet clients and pets warmly and check them in and out for appointments
- Escort clients and patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable
- Gather basic patient history and obtain vital signs
- Assist the veterinarian during exams and appointments
- Support treatments and procedures as directed by the medical team
- Schedule appointments and help manage daily patient flow
- Answer phones, address client questions, and provide general hospital information
- Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability required on Saturdays from 7:30am-5:30pm.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- Previous veterinary experience is required
- Experience with Cornerstone is a plus!
